Good morning, East Grinstead! Pop the kettle on: here's what's happening in town today.
It's Bonfire Night on Thursday, and if you're thinking of heading to Lewes, there'll be no trains there from 5pm. There's also a plan for a new zebra crossing near two schools, flats proposed above the Lloyds Bank building on London Road, and plenty on in town every day this week.

A planning application has been made to turn the empty upper floors of the Lloyds Bank building at 1-3 London Road into five flats. The ground floor would stay as commercial space, with flexible Class E use, which covers things like shops, cafés and offices. The plans also include cycle and bin stores.
Mid Sussex District Council received the application on 25 September and validated it on 27 October. It hasn't been decided yet. The reference is DM/26/2375. See the application details.

If you're thinking of going to Lewes Bonfire on Thursday, think again. GTR, which runs Southern, says no trains will call at Lewes, Falmer, Cooksbridge, Glynde or Southease from 5pm on Thursday 5 November until the first trains on Friday.
The last trains from London Victoria to those stations leave at 3.24pm and 3.54pm.
The last trains out of Lewes leave at 4.44pm (to Brighton), 4.55pm (to Victoria), 4.59pm (to Ore) and 5.02pm (to Seaford).
Roads in Lewes close from 4.45pm, with parking restrictions from midday.
The rail companies and local councils are asking people not to travel to Lewes and to go to a display nearer home instead. They say the event isn't suitable for young children or dogs. There are plenty of local bonfires and fireworks on Thursday: see What's on below.
